We prioritize user privacy. Shia Hidayah does not require any account registration, email/password login, or social sign-in (such as Google or Apple Sign-In). You can use all core features of the app without providing personal identity information.

A. Anonymous Session Identifiers

To securely communicate with backend APIs and deliver daily notifications or Islamic calendar content, the Application utilizes an automated anonymous authentication token (via Firebase Anonymous Authentication). This identifier is generated randomly and is not linked to your personal identity, name, email address, or phone number.

B. Automatically Collected Information & Device Data

• Location Data: To calculate accurate local prayer (Namaz/Salaat) timings and Qibla direction, the Application requests access to your device’s precise or approximate location (GPS or network-based). Location data is processed locally on your device or queried against standard calculation endpoints; it is not stored permanently on our servers or linked to your identity for tracking.
• Log & Diagnostic Data: When an error or crash occurs, we collect diagnostic information via third-party SDKs to ensure stability. This may include device model, operating system version, app version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and crash stack traces.

2. Third-Party Services and SDKs

The Application integrates third-party services that provide essential underlying capabilities:

• Firebase Anonymous Authentication: Provides secure, anonymous session tokens for backend API communication without requesting user accounts.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects basic anonymous engagement metrics to help us understand feature usage and improve app usability.
• Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash logs and diagnostic stack traces to identify bugs and performance regressions.
• Google Play Services (Android): Provides underlying location and platform APIs.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

The mobile Application does not use HTTP cookies. However, local storage (such as SQLite databases, key-value preferences, or local cache) is used directly on your device to store offline prayer timings, Islamic calendar events, Quran reading bookmarks, and app settings locally.

4. Data Retention and User Rights

Because Shia Hidayah does not collect personal accounts or identifiable user records, we do not hold personal profiles on our servers. Local app data (such as bookmarks, Qaza logs, and saved settings) remains on your physical device and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the application or clearing local application storage in your device settings.

5. Security

We prioritize the security of your device communications by using industry-standard encrypted network protocols (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase access controls. Please note, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Application is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
